RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position requires an associate’s degree and 3-6 years of experience with industrial piping design. Prior experience with CADWorx Plant and related software is required. Demonstrated familiarity with standard piping practices and ability to design from P&IDs and equipment specifications is also required. The mechanical designer will work with mechanical engineers to generate three-dimensional process piping modes for industrial plants. Once approved, the mechanical designer will use these models to create AutoCAD piping plan and section drawings and fabrication piping isometric drawings. Additional tasks may include working with engineers to create process flow diagrams, P&IDs, general arrangement, plumbing, and HVAC design drawings.
